Kathy Canestrini had her first HOLE-IN-ONE on 5 Blue on 6-15-2014!

This might explain why Kathy doesn't have a club in her hands!

Warning!!

Our Members have already reported  5 cases of ticks so far this season. Please take heed and check yourselves thoroughly every time you are out doors this year. A link to tick info is below in light orange.

Poison Ivy also very prevalent.  It's even at the base of the trees on the right off the tee box of 3 Blue. Below is a link to a 5 min video "How to identify Poison Ivy" . If you know of some areas where the members might frequent let me know and I'll post them.

 Remember  these sayings.

Rhymes that help:
Leave of three, beware of thee.
Longer middle stem, stay away from them.
Side leafs like mittens, itch like the dickens.
Red leaves in spring, it's a dangerous thing.
Hairy vine, no friend of mine.
Berries white, danger in sight.

Possibly fatal tick disease hits the capital region. Click on link.

A "Bender" (Slang)
Slang term originating in Upstate New York. The expression is used when playing golf in a competition where you count putts. A bender occurs when your golf ball comes to rest on the fringe of the putting green, giving you maximum opportunity for a single putt (or zero putts for a Double Bender) -- Named after Jane, the master Bender.
